Company History

B & J Trucking Service, Inc. was formed in 1987 by Jimmy Fraley, company President, with one truck. Jimmy has a long history in trucking, dating back to the 1950's, and his family was recently awarded the 2006 Great American Trucking Family of the Year by Trucker's News Magazine. Jimmy felt that through hard work, a commitment to his customers and employees, and by providing quality equipment B & J would be successful. Some twenty years later, that same philosophy continues to account for B & J's success.

By 1991 Paul Frisbee, company Vice-President, became a part owner in B & J. Paul, utilizing his extensive experience as both driver and shop supervisor, took on the task of ensuring B & J's equipment maintains a high level of readiness and a low level down-time due to breakdown, He oversees a shop that is responsible for the general maintenance of B & J's fleet of trucks and trailers.

In 2003, Charles Newton became the newest part owner in B & J. Charles' background includes thirty-plus years in truck sales. Along with helping Paul manage the workflow in the shop, Charles works to procure new trucks for the fleet and sell trucks that are due for rotation out of the fleet. He makes sure trucks are outfitted with comforts drivers appreciate while maximizing the overall economy of the fleet.

Through steady growth, B & J has grown from a one-truck one-trailer operation in 1987 to over 65 trucks and 75 trailers with over ten million dollars of annual sales. The outlook continues to look bright for B & J through continued steady growth and keeping to our core values: hard work, a commitment to our customers and employees, and providing quality equipment.
